La Demeure Historique represents, supports and advises the custodians of France’s private historic monuments and gardens in their mission to preserve and pass on our shared heritage.
This national association, founded in 1924 and recognised as being of public interest since 1965, brings together more than 3,000 historic sites — from châteaux and manors to abbeys, townhouses, workshops and remarkable gardens — nearly half of which welcome over nine million visitors each year.
Belle Main is a philanthropic initiative dedicated to the conservation of cultural heritage, historical furnishings, and traditional craftsmanship.
